The most dramatic season is autumn - there is a veritable explosion of reds, gold's, and oranges on the many trees here that have to be seen to be believed. Even the quiet, cold snows of winter are beautiful when you can enjoy them in front of the fireplace. The Retreat Association holds many functions such as family picnics, Easter Egg Hunts, 4th of July Parade and "Retreat Coffee." They also publish the Retreat News, which will keep you informed of local events and information. We have wonderful neighbors! Don't be surprised if you receive some goodies as you are welcomed to the neighborhood... If you love nature, you'll be amazed at the abundance of wildlife here. Bird watching is a wonderful activity, whether you're a novice or more experienced.
